4, microbial oil refining, equipment
Microbial oils (also known as single cell oils, SCO) use carbohydrates, hydrocarbons and common fats as carbon and nitrogen sources under certain conditions by microorganisms such as yeast, mold, bacteria and algae. It is supplemented with oils produced by inorganic salts and some commercially valuable lipids. Under suitable conditions, certain microorganisms produce and store more than 20% of the total biomass, and strains with such phenotypes are called oil-producing microorganisms.
